This Easter we reflect on how the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ changed everything.
We marvel at how the lives of 12 followers of Jesus, from humble, untrained backgrounds, led to one out of every three people on our planet now identifying themselves as Christians.
The answer is found in the Easter Story.
Jesus’ death meant that our sins could be forgiven. It opened the way for rebellious people to know and be reconciled to God. His resurrection vindicated Jesus as the true King of Kings. It marked the beginning of a new creation, where death has been destroyed and we can be certain of eternal life with Him.

No other event has impacted the world so much as the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Jesus never wrote a book, and yet there are more books written about Him than any other figure in history. From what we know Jesus never composed a song, but there is more music written about Him than any other subject, bar none. And as far as we know, Jesus never drew any pictures or created any sculptures, but more art has been made about Jesus Christ than any other subject in history. Jesus never travelled more than 100 miles from where he was born, yet you can find His followers in every nook and cranny of the planet.
The life, death and resurrection of Jesus, is good news about a good King who rules perfectly. That is why we must tell everyone about Him.

What does the Easter story mean?
  • God loves us unconditionally – to the point of giving us his Son (John 3:16-17)
  • That we can be free and forgiven from our sin by Jesus' death. (Isaiah 53:6-10)
  • Jesus defeated death so we don't have to fear it. (1 Corinthians 15:3-28)
  • We receive God's promised Holy Spirit to empower us. (Acts 1:8)
  • God has a greater purpose for our lives – to serve, and lay down our life for others (Mark 8:34-35, 2 Corinthians 4:17-18)
  • We can be certain of our future inheritance as God’s sons and daughters. (1 Peter 1:3-5)
These are wonderful, amazing, fantastic truths and motivate us at Christian Concern to hold high the name of Jesus and all truth that flows from Him in the public sphere.

Let’s share the Easter story with everyone around us  - Let us be confident and courageous in declaring the Gospel of Jesus Christ and standing up for our faith. Christian Concern.
