There is, of
course, one alternative interpretation - that it is all 'an impossible
situation' which it has been agreed in advance
between Dave and the EU bigwigs that he will 'be allowed to win'. (Then, like
Neville, he'll be able to return from Munich - er, I mean Brussels - waving a
triumphant slip of paper.) Maybe I'm wrong - but that is how things are done on
the EU level. As a former EU researcher for an MEP - I certainly know whereof I
speak.
