Pacifism.

I have been trying to get my head around it - is there any Bible text which states that Christians must be pacifists? 'Turning the other cheek' is a text in an individual avenging situation not a social nor a national context. 'Love your neighbour' must allow for fighting to help the weak.

We cannot extrapolate this context from what Jesus said to Simon Peter in Gethsemane.

So ...? Something to think about at this time of Remembrance.
