George Osborne 'discouraging marriage'

Chancellor George Osborne has been accused of effectively penalising couples with children for staying together. Changes introduced in last week's Autumn Statement mean that some couples with children would be financially better off if they chose to live apart, according to the Marriage Foundation. It says that the Chancellor's announcement fails the 'family test' trumpeted by David Cameron earlier this year and increases the 'penalty' for some families by £110 annually. Christian Concern.
