BREXIT BOOST: Britain WILL NOT fall into recession after ditching EU, think tank reveals
BRITAIN will not fall into a recession following the vote to leave the European Union, a respected think tank has revealed.
Despite the doom-mongering before the momentous vote on June 23, the
National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR) said growth in
the economy will not plummet after
Brexit.
Simon Kirby, an economist at the institute, said: “We are clearly not
going to repeat the downturn on the scale of 2008-09, due to the resilience of
the UK economy and the financial sector compared to
then.”
