ANGELA Merkel and the European Union have been blasted as “terrible” for their handling of Greece’s economic crisis, the country’s former finance minister has claimed.

By ALETHA ADUYanis Varoufakis, who resigned from his prestigious economic position, slammed the union for failing to adequately settle the country’s crisis which he deemed "manageable".
