Don't Fly Ryanair!

Ryanair have excelled themselves. A fifteen year old boy, travelling from Alicante, who happens to have severe autism and a low mental age was informed by staff that his small comforter doll had to be reclassed as 'hand luggage' - and paid for. Not too unsurprisingly, he went into total meltdown and was refused passage on the plane.
Police were even called.

Interestingly, the carer - who had not even refused to pay Ryanair's wicked extra charge - popped over to the Jet2 desk, booked a flight with ease and the superb ground staff and cabin crew lent him non-stop care, affection and support throughout his flight. (Naturally, when told in advance that the boy needed special care, Ryanair officials had stated knowledgeably that he did not!)

He then travelled uneventfully to his destination.
