Deciding ODI At Pune Wow!

Again, England won the toss and put India in to bat but the early overs were very ordinary and India were able set their eyes on an immense total in excess of 400. BUT, the England attack later recovered and India made even fewer runs than in the last ODI.

All out for 328, you realised that the England batsmen had a real chance. Sadly for the away side, Natarajan bowled the best ball of the series to dismiss Jason Roy. He may well wonder if he will ever bowl its like again. Bairstow also departed early and England were soon under the cosh.

Wickets kept falling. Rashid and Sam Curran offered real hope to England and the eighth wicket partnership soon breezed past fifty.

Rashid fell to a beautiful flying catch from Kohli and the writing was firmly on the wall with England still needing 73 to win but with plenty of overs still in hand.

Curran marched inexorably onwards and before you knew it 10 balls remained 18 were needed. What a match!

India were dropping catches for fun!

15 from 7 balls!

14 from the last over required!

Wood run out chasing the second to put Curran back on strike.

Topley takes a single to put Curran on strike. Three balls!

Dot ball. Two left.

Two sixes needed.

4!  - Not enough with a ball to go.

India win by just seven runs with Sam left on 95 not out.

India take the short series by 2 games to one.
