I chatted about Catholics going to heaven with my eldest son several weeks ago and as evangelicals, we fully agreed that there would be many of our Catholic friends that we would be meeting up with in heaven.
We both agreed that where this was ever in doubt, it was because of the teachings of the RC Church.'
Indeed, my son stopped me in my tracks when he added,"Mind you - I think that a great many priests are going to be in big trouble."
He pointed out that many (most?) priests - who had studied the Bible in great depth - went on to teach RC dogma ahead of God's Word.
If we take mariolatry as one example out of many, Catholics are being taught to pray to someone who is not part of The Godhead.
I felt most depressed.
