How Mr Farage Can Find The Money To Transform The UK.

We shall soon begin to see, in the Councils won by Reform, whether the party has the know-how to make huge savings on putting a stop to waste.

Furthermore:

The total budget for all UK quangos (non-departmental public bodies) in 2022/23 was £353.3 billion. While the UK's public sector is forecast to spend £1,226 billion in 2024/25, the most it has ever spent in cash terms, the combined cost to the treasury of all quangos in 2024 is not available in the search results.
In 2022/23, 60% of day-to-day government spending was channeled through quangos, with 90% of this going to the largest 10 bodies. The BBC reported that Sir Keir Starmer has pledged to slash the costs of regulation with an "active government," suggesting a potential reduction in quango spending in the future.
In addition, The Guardian reported that there are more than 300 ALBs (Advisory, Liaison and Benevolent bodies), although there is some controversy over the definition and many think there are more.

The other giant target for Reform UK is Quangos. Keir will undoubtedly save a billion or two from them but this Blogger believes that in excess of a £100 billion+of savings can be made - and much better employed.

That many Quangos are doing useful work is unarguable but even they have precious little accountability. This must be addressed.

There are scores - possibly hundreds of Quangos - which are both useless and often this is combined with rank incompetence.
