On a fair number of occasions of late, I have heard Ukip referred to as 'the party of protest' both by interviewers and LibLabCon politicians.
Do they really think that this is a valid criticism? Moreover, does Ukip mind?
With every 'protest vote' comes a consolidating of the base of a party which is growing at the rate of 350 new members per week.
What is also happening is a concentration of 'the protest vote' itself.
Many ordinary people in the past who have voted from Green Party to Monster Raving Loony, not from conviction but out of desperation, and all minor parties in between will vote Ukip. There is no such thing as 'a toxic vote'.

Add these to the LibLabCon defectors and the base is further strengthened but remember this - it is the 'non voters' who are flocking to Ukip who truly hold the key.

Christian socialists and defenders of economic planning by state bureaucrats deeply resent this interpretation of their ethical position. They resent it because it's accurate. When Christianity adheres to the judicial specifics of the Bible, it produces free market capitalism. On the other hand, when Christianity rejects the judicial specifics of the Bible, it produces socialism or some politically run hybrid "middle way" between capitalism and socialism, where politicians and bureaucrats make the big decisions about how people's wealth will be allocated. Economic growth then slows or is reversed. Always. Free market capitalism produces long-term economic growth. Socialism and middle-way economic interventionism by the state produce poverty and bureaucracy. If your goal is to keep poor people poor, generation after generation, you should promote socialism. Judge allows abortion for bipolar woman at 23 weeks.

A High Court Judge in London has permitted a pregnant woman to abort her baby at 23 weeks despite evidence from doctors that she lacks the capacity to make a decision about abortion.

Commenting on the case, Andrea Minichiello Williams said: “In his decision, the Judge has eschewed professional medical opinion and the testimony of the mother. Autonomy has been elevated as supreme.
 “But there seems to be little acknowledgement of how traumatic a late term abortion can be. At 23 weeks, the baby is capable of surviving. The baby is alive and kicking in the womb.
 “Miss B’s mother’s concerns about future regret are absolutely valid. Recent evidence shows that having an abortion does not result in better mental health outcomes and may in fact have an adverse effect on a woman’s mental health.
 “The emphasis needs to be on care and compassion – for mother and child – not on autonomy. This is a very serious and disappointing judgment”. Christian Concern.
