A few days ago, I had to get up at 12-30 am because a nasty cold was starting.
The first treatment checked it; the second held it up and the third destroyed it. All completed in about sixteen hours.

Lib Dems: Please Pardon My Smirk!
The Liberal Democrats have stopped campaigning on their policy of revoking Article 50 amid concern about its unpopularity on the doorstep, and have switched to asking voters to deny Boris Johnson a majority.
Activists have complained that the pledge to cancel Brexit without another vote if the party won a majority is going down badly on the doorstep as the party’s poll ratings droop. The Times.
Why Socialism Does Not Work.
I FEEL very sad to read the letter by Peter Asquith-Cowen
(The Yorkshire Post, November 19) concerning his
critical views of capitalism and advocating socialist ideas.
Boris Johnson promised to defer a corporation tax cut when he
addressed the CBI.
We have seen about 100 years of socialist policies, as practised by communist countries, and they do not work.
No government likes to initiate austerity measures, but the Conservative government was forced to do so because
of the profligate actions of the previous Labour
administration. Peter does not seem to comprehend
that all individuals and businesses have to live or work
within their means.
Jeremy Corbyn is hoping to build on the electoral gains that Labour
made in the 2017 election.
His attack on the so-called super-rich would adversely
affect many. He would be hitting the millions of ordinary
people
who invest in companies as a means of saving. He
would be discouraging all those enterprising entrepreneurs
who invest their own capital, ideas and sweat to provide
new goods and services for our benefit while also creating employment.
As for the EU being an efficient economy, many countries
in it are struggling to make ends meet and controlled by an
undemocratic political machine which imposes “one policy
fits all”.
Leaving the EU will help this country open more doors
for its enterprising businesses to discover new opportunities. Yorks Post.

Understand What Leftists Mean When They Speak.
'Hate crime' - Spoken truth or bog standard ordinary crime not approved of by socialists. A crime is a crime is a crime. Motivation is interesting but barely relevant.
'Invest' - Socialist redistribution of wealth. Theft made to look respectable. It never means 'invest'.
'Tolerance' - The embracing of immorality and godlessness in a huge variety of forms. It is a concept which only leftists are permitted to have. It may never be used by anyone to the right of centre left. They must have zero entitlement and it is permissible to abuse them. Actual tolerance is an alien belief.
'Social justice'. - Leftist ideology put into action.
'Harmonise' (EU) - Take absolute control.
'Diversity' - Christians may not apply.
'Feminism' - Cherry-picking; hatred of men; special pleading. It has ceased to mean equality.
'Equality' - Replacing inequality with a different form of inequality.
'Termination - a simple procedure' - Convenient butchery of the unborn.
'Multicultural' - A straightforward technique to water down our our own cultural identity. Note how it has almost entirely replaced the very reasonable concept of 'social integration.'
'Free Speech.' A principle which may ONLY be afforded to leftists.
'Democracy.' - The view that: referenda may be ignored; the vox populi must never be allowed to apply; an outmoded process which cannot be permitted to stop the movement towards socialism; may only be accepted if the non-elected liberal-left elite agree.
Leftist vocabulary always needs interpretation - so very often it means something entirely different to what you think it does. Alice in Wonderland would have got this point after the advice she heard.

Do Check All Possible Fire Hazards In Your Home.
On my morning constitutional yesterday, I walked past a house gutted by fire an hour or so earlier.
One occupant had died inside, as I later discovered.
My first thought was to wonder as to their state of grace.
I felt deeply saddened and promised myself to take every care in my own home.

England Throw Away First Test In New Zealand.
With seven wickets remaining to bat out the final day and secure a draw, skipper Root, assisted ably by Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler, ensured that the test would be lost by getting out in very poor fashion.
The pitch looked dreadful as it disintegrated in key areas but played far better than it looked - as evidenced by the excellent stand between Curran, 29 not out and Archer with a handy 30, who both showed more senior batsmen how it should have been done.
This match was salvageable and England did not do so.
Innings defeats are not very palatable at the best of times but England got exactly what they deserved, losing by an innings and 65 runs. What a thrashing this was.
The Kiwis outplayed us in all areas of the game. Congratulations to them for their well-merited victory.
