It is time that Christians started to agitate against the piecemeal, multifaith rubbish which passes as Religious Education in the UK.

ALL major religions covered in Years 7 -9, often in just one lesson a week and precious little evidence of Christian education in assemblies which are 90+% secular? How can this possibly have any value?
Much of the concern of course, is that these lessons are often delivered by people with no faith at all.
Putting aside my Christian concerns for the moment, this is pure cultural deprivation for our children.
This has gone on for far too long with liberal christians smiling benignly and blithely letting this all happen.
(Last year, a colleague explained to me how her son's faith was mocked by a comprehensive school RE teacher who was pure atheist!)
Root and branch change is needed. Words will just not do!
