England chased down their second highest ever total to win an ODI - 359 - led by Roy and the centurion, Bairstow.
On a batsman-friendly pitch (again) and at the small ground of Bristol - a large total was inevitable.
A great knock by Imam ul-Haq set up Pakistan for a total in excess of 400 but the English bowlers plugged away and gradually wore down Pakistan.
Once the openers had taken hold of the Pakistan attack - a comfortable win became inevitable.
