Bishop Michael Scott-Joynt dies

The former Anglican Bishop of Winchester, Rt Rev Michael Scott-Joynt, who frequently spoke out in support of the biblical model for marriage and the family, has died aged 71.
"Bishop Michael was a great supporter of the work of Christian Concern; a man of courage and conviction who loved Jesus. He was prepared to state the truth of the gospel in the public square and we are going to miss him very much" says Andrea Williams
 Bishop Scott-Joynt was an early signatory to the Coalition for Marriage petition which defended marriage as between one man and one woman, and in 2003, he vocally opposed the appointment of the openly gay Dean of St Albans, Jeffrey John, as the Bishop of Reading. Christian Concern.
