The Clacton result is quite probably the start of a mega-shift in
the entire British political system. Yet the Beeb could not be bovvered for over 22 minutes to even
begin a report on their BBC News at Ten programme. This is quite
disgraceful.
(To be fair, the Guardian was doing a far better online job, on the
relevant Andrew Sparrow Blog, by stating that the Tories had effectively
admitted defeat before a single vote was counted - not much, but something, at
least.) BTW, where were the BBC exit polls? There were TWO key
by-elections!
