These are not channels that I would normally watch but
I know some who do because, they tell me that world news is seldom filtered on
them - or at least, not as much as is the case on the news channels we normally watch. More accurate? - Frankly, I doubt that but maybe less left out? - How can we know? - Certainly, items are definitely reported on these channels which are true and not seen elsewhere.
Our problem in the West is not so much what news
channels present to us - although this can often contain misrepresentations -
but rather the manner in which they fail to show all of the important
news. The UK is a prime example of this.
In other words, they will censor out any news item
which undermines liberal left doctrine and 'values'.
For two generations, the principal case in point has
been the failure to show any of the myriads of disadvantages of EU membership.
(20 years of Court of Auditors reports has been a classic
example.)
This is a major issue on which I have never once seen
a significant news item on any TV station nor heard it properly reported on any
mainstream national radio station.
The EU is far from being the only example - take the
butchery of Christians by Islamists on a global scale; take the torture and
imprisonment of believers in more than a hundred nations worldwide; take the
tiny handful of examples of rightwing terrorist acts which are 'bigged up'
whilst only reporting to the bare minimum on the far higher number of leftist
terror atrocities.
This is nothing more than propaganda in a different
form.
Frequent reporting of the opinions of 'luvvies',
leftist 'comedians', Eddie Izzard, Gary Lineker et al is never balanced off.
They blithely trot out this coterie of leftists as an alternative to the man on
The Clapham Omnibus.
Note their propensity for spotting racism at the drop
of a hat but an inability to publicise the Rotherham sexual abuse disaster and
similar.
Note how, now that Farage is no longer Ukip leader -
and suffering from plummeting, national, personal support - he is invariably
used in preference to Ukip politicians who currently occupy senior roles. Can
this possibly be accidental?
I am sure that the word 'newsworthy' covers a
multitude of sins!
Note too how even the tiniest criticism of evolution
or global warming will be expunged and not reported. (Remember what they did to
David Bellamy - but never do to Richard Dawkins?)
Time for the Tories to perform a root and branch
leftectomy of the movers and shakers in the Beeb. After all, this is public
broadcasting for which we must all pay an absurd licence fee - the programme is
for the general public and not for the exclusive benefit of the moaning,
Islington, dinner party set.
