Ruth Davidson Article.

Consider this:
My birthday is on the 10th of November. An entirely unremarkable date, apart from the fact that it is also the current Equal Pay Day. And, in the UK, it’s been on the 10th of November for the last three years.
The 14.1pc gender pay gap for women in full-time work has not narrowed one iota in that time.
We might have seen our first female Metropolitan Police Commissioner in those three years, our second female Prime Minister and seen the number of women offered places at Cambridge university exceed that of men for the first time in history – but for the ordinary working woman, not a single penny of advance. Telegraph.
I would very much doubt that Ms Davidson would be able to point out a single, current example where a man and a woman are working side by side in identical jobs, with identical work histories and earn different salaries. (The exception of the seriously weird, raving, leftist BBC must, of course, be laid to one side.)
In real life, surely the left-leaning Tory, Ms Davidson, MUST be aware - the bulk of these discrepancies come about when a woman's 'interrupted career pattern' is taken into account.
ONLY when statistics broker in this wholly non-sexist factor may they be taken seriously.
The alternative is to offer promotions, pay rises and incremental payments to women with the ICP who have less experience than the men alongside them who have had an uninterrupted career pattern. Wholly unacceptable in any just society!
