I detest the left and all that it has stood for throughout my life but I might just have voted for Attlee had I been alive at the time of his election win.
Although Labour was oft times tainted with distant traces of Marxism back then, The Labour Party was trying to make a better society for the poor. And they truly meant it - a moral society with dignity.
They did not see - and indeed could not have guessed - what Labour would turn into over the last 65 years.
To take just one point, I doubt that there was a single Labour MP in Attlee's government who would have supported today's grotesquely abused welfare system which bleeds the state dry.
I can remember when The Old Liberal Party consisted of nice people who were a bit too much on the dopey side. Today, they are indistinguishable from our extremist Labour Movement. There is not a cigarette paper between them.
The Watermelon-Marxist Greens (green on the outside but red in the centre) - have added a new level of toxicity to our problems as a nation. Few comprehend what they are trying to do to us.
This brings us to the Tories. Once upon a time, they brought us hope - albeit if only for a very brief period in the first half of the Thatcher reign. Following her departure, every election since has brought us ever larger numbers of Tory MPs who are so wet that they look just like Lib Dems.
UKIP was on the right path. It was a non-political political party which gave me genuine hope that we could, one day, have a government which would just rule sensibly. Nothing more. That would have meant an actual centre right party that was centre right - but, tragically, UKIP imploded and all hope was lost.
We look at the Tories to redeem themselves but when they know they must - they chicken out. The Tory Lib Dems remain. There are 348 Tory MPs in The House at the moment. The number of these who are centre right barely runs into dozens.
Reform UK just about deserves our votes but they will have to do some serious policy making - and quickly!
Today, you admit to being of the centre-right and some look at you as if you have proclaimed a desire for Hitler to be resurrected.
The people will only take insane leftism for so long before the revolts begin. For the moment, we may still be able to cast a vote for a true centre-right party but if and when that fails, WATCH OUT! The hard right will appear in swarms like disguised giant locusts preying on our beleaguered nation - and, OH! How attractive they will appear.
Our abject politicos have failed us dismally. The UK is in a huge, Marxist, economic, social and moral decline.
Please support the remnant centre-right whilst it is still an option!
