Blogger: what is there about abuse of females which is not already well-covered in current legislation? - ABH, GBH etc.
Part of the problem is that the CPS holds back from using the multiple powers it already possesses.
How can 'terrorism' be logically linked to 'misogyny?' - The only thing that links them is that both are unpleasant but then - it is to different degrees. Why not link it to murder? How about blackmail?
This smacks of '1984'.
Remember too the illogical disaster that was 'hate speech!' Here we have more nonsense cut from the same cloth.
Expanding on the insanity of 'hate crimes'. A doddery 64 year old white man is robbed of his shopping by a black youth with a knife. In practice, no 'hate crime label' can/will be applied to the perpetrator even if the man were to have a heart attack.
A white yob punches a 20 year old Asian on the arm in a typical High Street - automatic 'hate crime' - up the sentence.
Where does my information come from? - As a JP, back in the day, I did the training on this. Bad legislation was recognised by many in attendance. Many JPs were quite disturbed by the often inherent unfairness.
This will only add to the unfairness, Yvette!
This Blogger wants tougher sentencing for persistent and violent criminals but this thinking is both inequitable and unworkable. It can only add to wastes of court time across the entire CJS.
