Look carefully at the UK graph from the highpoint in the 70s to the falling pollution today. NOTE that the pollution of of the 50s has plummeted even though there are some 30 million+ vehicles extra, today.

Now compare to China. Unfortunately, India is arguably worse. We are progressing downwards. Our pollution is seriously trivial compared to these two nations.
