Police and The Motorist.

Respect for the police has probably never been lower in our nation - but in fairness, they have become 'the public's whipping boys' when governments are the more likely culprits.
The 'war' on motorists is an area of great public disquiet. All but the most silly want bad drivers severely targeted and punished. The problems arise when trivial matters are given too much importance.
Consequently, police are unable - possibly unwilling (?) - to chase the more serious criminals.
The police also tend to get the blame for weak court disposals - most of which are again, the fault of government far more than they are that of judges and magistrates.

This individual awoke, fully safe in the knowledge that he can NEVER face execution. So tremendously heartwarming!
