Truancy.

It has recently been suggested that child benefits to parents of truants should be removed.
(I am afraid that Dr Gabb of The Libertarian Alliance and I would be solidly at odds over this one.)
I do not know if it is still the case but many years ago the French had a system where child benefits were removed when there was any lack of cooperation with either pupil or family.
To be fair to Sean, it is possible to see the possibility of abuse by officialdom but we must start doing something to repair our badly damaged society.
At the same time on a different issue - would it not be wise to axe benefits for a third child or more? Obviously, that could not be post ex facto.
