Mr Chalke: Sellout Merchant?

Rev Steve Chalke says the Church's attitude to LGB people has fuelled mental health problems.Church teaching is fuelling social discrimination against lesbian, gay and bisexual people and driving mental health problems in their community, according to a new report from the Oasis Foundation.  The report, In the Name of Love: The Church, exclusion and LGB mental health issues, says homosexual and bisexual people are up to 12 times more likely to experience mental health difficulties as heterosexual people. It argues this is caused by discrimination against them based on the belief, driven by Christian teaching, that heterosexuality is superior to homosexuality. Christian Today.  
And what precisely is the relevance of this? - When you are wedded to a sinful life - problems will always abound! Why be surprised?  It Is NOT the job of the Church to make life easier for the lost - alleviating the consequences of their sin!  The job of The Church is to love them and warn them and win them back not encourage them to waste their chance for salvation.  Jesus loves them all but you enter Heaven purely on HIS terms!
