On 7 August, Maridilegnis Carballo was finally granted a phone call with her husband, Pastor Lorenzo Rosales Fajardo. Until that moment, she hadn’t been allowed to see or speak to him since he was arrested for peacefully protesting on 11 July.
The call was only three minutes long, but it was a huge answer to prayer – a ray of light after nearly a month of darkness and uncertainty.
