The new one day teams are letting England cricket down very badly. The bowling is not bad, the fielding is okay but the penchant for gifting away wickets to a genuinely professional side is utterly shameful.
This afternoon, I watched apparently international players heaving their bats around like teenagers learning how to harvest a cornfield - the manner of their great, great, great farming grandparents.
This follows on as a consequence of the 'bazball' epidemic.
It has taught our players to abandon smoothness and finesse and for them to be replaced with wild swings of the bat like a caveman with a club killing a wild pig.
