Dear Friend in Christ, Invitation to Annual Volunteer and Supporter Day for the North Three days to go till our local Volunteer and Supporter day on Saturday 21st September, 12pm – 3pm. This is for all volunteers and supporters interested in the ministry of Release International. You will have the opportunity to hear from Allister du Plessis, Engagement Manager for North & Midlands, Laura Hayes, Director of Engagement, and I will also be there. We are looking forward to seeing you there. And it is our pleasure to announce that Mark Lipdo (pictured right), our partner from Nigeria, will also be joining us. Mark is the founder and CEO of the Stefanos Foundation, a Christian-based human rights, advocacy and relief organisation working to address the violent conflict in Nigeria. Over the past two decades thousands of Christians in north and central areas of the country have been killed and tens of thousands forced to flee. Join us to hear Mark share more about their courageous faith and suffering, and the vital work his organisation is doing to support them. The meeting will be held at St Peters Parish Centre, Church Road, Bolton, BL1 5RR. A free light buffet lunch will be served at 12pm, with the main program starting at 1pm. Light refreshments will be served after. Thank you to all who have booked their place.
