Thankful Villages.

1914 - 1918. Fifty three villages and parishes sent their young men to war - and ALL returned.

I thank Simon Armitage, the poet, for bringing Helperthorpe in the Yorks Dales to our attention as a representative example. But God's hand was surely on Stocklinch.
