Tell Iran To Stop Criminalising Christians

Tell Iran to stop criminalising Christians

Dear All,
Iranian Christians are being treated like criminals for taking part in normal church activities. At least 12 Christians have been given lengthy prison sentences for ‘actions against national security’…
…Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani and three others from his church received sentences of 10 years or more.
…Mr Afshar-Naderi was arrested along with two others while at a Christmas celebration, and faces 15 years in jail.
…Hadi Asgari was arrested during a picnic and has been given a 10-year sentence
…Nasser Navard Goltape was one of four men arrested after three of them, who were from Azerbaijan, visited friends in Tehran.

In reality these ‘crimes’ - celebrating Christmas, having a picnic, meeting together – are things Christians around the world do all the time.
Write an email to your MP and the Minister of State for the Middle East, asking them to use their influence to stop Iran criminalising Christians.

Many people stood with Pastor Yousef during his original arrest in 2009, to his acquittal in 2012 and eventual release at the end of 2013.

“I have never felt loneliness, I was all the time aware of the fact that it wasn't a solitary battle, for I have felt all the energy and support of those who obeyed their conscience and fought for the promotion of justice.” - Pastor Yousef Nadarkhani, after he was released from prison in 2012.

Faithful prayers and action have already achieved so much - we know that you’re ready to
take action again today.

Together, we can stop Iran criminalising Christians.

P.S. In 2012, over 60,000 people lobbied the Iranian regime to stop Pastor Nadarkhani receiving the death sentence.
