Class warfare lives. The sheer hatred of the left for the middle classes is almost beyond belief - ironic really as that is precisely where most of the liberal left are to be found.The avowed aim of achieving a 'meritocracy' failed with the demise of the grammar schools.
Forget fairness, justice and merit. Now the idea is to punish the young and talented in favour of the young and less talented. You really could not invent this - unless you happen to be Jonathan Swift!
