Scandal? - What scandal?

An MP has apparently been bugged when conversing with an imprisoned terror suspect.
So. Sadiq Khan is a Muslim - insufficient grounds in itself to 'bug' conversations but nonetheless, member of an ethnic group which has revealed massive and frightening levels of support for terrorist activities in various polls in the last year.
Secondly, the suspect, Babar Ahmad, is a personal friend. It would therefore be most remiss of the security services NOT to be monitoring him closely.
Thirdly, there are grounds for even greater suspicion when we find that the MP is a so-called Human Rights Lawyer with a history of support for such people. Lawyers of his type are seldom on the side of 'the good guys'.
"The fact that Mr Khan also has a history of having been a legal thorn in the side of the police establishment - and, in particular, senior anti-terrorist officers - adds piquancy to the scandal."
Scandal?
Mr Khan may well be the muslim moderate which he portrays himself to be - in which case, I am genuinely sorry that this has happened. But what about you? -

Okay. If YOU had been in charge of an anti-terror unit - what would your decision have been?
