I have now seen and heard the offensive comments by Baroness Warsi, co-chair of the Conservative Party. Until today, I had had a degree of respect for her - no longer!
It was cheap, tawdry and most unworthy! Just because she said it in an agreeable manner did not make it in any way justifiable.
She pretended not to know that the BNP is in freefall. She linked UKIP's increase in seats contested with the BNP's fall. Egregious behaviour!
She knew perfectly well that UKIP has definitely been on the up in the last year.
ALL politicians with any knowledge know full well that the BNP is a centralist, nationalist party which arose out of socialist ideals.
UKIP could not be more different and I had thought that these cheap, mendacious attacks were long dead. Apparently not! A cornered tory is a dangerous tory?
