Join a really cool but dangerous gang. Follow that gang's arcane rules. Join in with a dangerous criminal enterprise which the gang leaders present as 'the way forward for cool dudes'. You are now in the position to beg for some of the extorted proceeds from it as you have been 'a really good little poodle'. Abuse and misuse said funds. Borrow to cover debts. Carry On Borrowing. (Is there a film in there somewhere?) Overspend like there is no tomorrow.

It is the ordinary Greek people I feel sorry for - they have been 'sold a pup'! Decent, hardworking, ordinary folk just trying to get on with their lives. Greece as a nation however .....
