Secularist Arguments - With No Argument.

I have just read a piece by a scientist advocating less Religious Education rather than more in schools, as it has been determined to be an irrelevance by the omniscient writer of the piece.
By 'the stroke of a pen', without any argument presented, an assumption that the writer has superior knowledge to that possessed by 'us lesser mortals' has been made.
What arrogance! What hubris!
The greatest minds on the planet cannot formulate a single, worthy argument to disprove the existence of God - yet our writer can 'skip that uncomfortable bit' and move blithely on - or perhaps I should say 'calculatedly'.
Any teacher marking a piece of work would tell that 'piece of work' how opinion unsubstantiated by argument is utterly worthless.
