The anti-EU and immigration party’s candidate Caven Vines took 1,143 votes, compared with 1,039 for Mrs Wright.
Conservative Martyn Parker came third but trailed behind with just 107 votes, while the Liberal Democrats were sixth with candidate Mohammed Meharban taking just 28 votes.
George Baldwin, for the BNP was fourth, with 80 votes, while Tony Gray, of Trade Unionists and Socialists Against Cuts, received 61 votes and came fifth in the poll. Sheffield Star.
