Clean and Magnificent.

My recent visits to Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Oman have all impressed in very similar ways:
No litter.
Ultra low crime.
Cleanliness in every direction.
Fine road systems.
No beggars.
No apparent poverty.
No slums.
Parks and genuine civic pride.
Great created wealth and most intelligently used.
Wholly capitalist.
Free schooling and hospital care.
Proper treatment of their old, their infirm and those with problems.
A sense of tradition.
Clearly - people who are contented.
Oil revenues which will propel these societies to the forefront of the modern world as they develop industries for when the oil revenues eventually run out. Rank capitalism.
No graffiti.
Brilliantly kept mosques EVERYWHERE.
Intelligent architecture.
People who, by and large, take their religion very seriously.
People who are uncompromising with foreigners who rock their boat.
No great evidence of personal debt.
No political correctness.
No benefits culture.
No socialism.
No kowtowing to the immigrants who work there and of whom, few will be allowed to stay. BUT they are still treated with respect.
Family first.
Peace-loving.
No yobs and street gangs.
Magnificent with their handling of money on every level.
No drugs and alcohol abuse.
No professional criminals - other than the white collar variety who face huge risks for misconduct.
A gentleness and friendliness from the people.
I could go on - but you get the picture. It is dazzling!

These are Islamic nations and democracy is hardly the watchword. Free speech will not go down any better than it does here.
Ours used to be a Christian nation. We have abandoned our faith; our decency; our sense of duty. We believe in tolerance to the degree where it damages our whole society. (Tolerance is a two-edged sword.)
What is the matter with us?
WE have the Saviour: The True God and - our manner of living spits in His face and our society is a socialism-mangled disgrace.
The anti-capitalists, the godless and the interferers haven't a clue!

(PS. Yes. We all know the downside in the Islamic nations.)

Gesture Eggs, Huh? - I Can't Boycott Cadbury For This. I Am Already Boycotting Them Over Their Iniquitous Pricing and Shrinkflation.
