The Council of Europe, an organisation inextricably linked to our beloved European Union has mounted a virulent attack on Creationism. It makes various claims of such ideas being unscientific and declares the superiority of what it perceives to be 'real science'.I have searched long and hard to find any portion where it makes the obvious suggestion that these 'ridiculous creationists' should be humiliated in televised debate on major channels at prime times - which is surely the obvious way to destroy them utterly and for all time.
If this course is not suggested - usually some weasel-like statement such as "It would only be legitimising creationist ideas" is used as the rather transparent excuse - we MUST conclude that THEY HAVE SOMETHING TO HIDE.
I tire quickly of countless apologists for one cause or another stamping their feet and shouting "We are right so why should we justify our views?"
