Orwell Knew That Ultimately, Socialism Could Not Work.

  • If you do not believe that he could have finally rejected socialism - which he certainly did - note the beginnings of that move in 'Animal Farm' and '1984'. He moved towards anarchism at one point before rejecting that too. What beliefs he finally ended up with are anybody's guess.
