Congratulations to Mr Holiday of Maidenhead for his succinct piece of excellence in today's Daily Mail:- "If the Archbishop of Canterbury cannot tell the difference between wearing a cross and wearing a veil, then he is unfit for purpose."
Love it!
Self explanatory title. I abhor that nicey nicey, politically correct, pseudo-Christianity which almost always supports leftwing attitudes - which in most cases are profoundly anti-Gospel. This Blog supports persecuted Christians. This Blog exposes cults. This Blog opposes junk science. UPDATED DAILY. This is not a forum. This Blog supports truly Christian websites and aids their efforts. It is hardhitting and unashamedly evangelical so if it offends - please do not come to this site!
Fifteen senior obstetricians and psychiatrists have recently signed a statement which declares that women who have had an abortion are three times as likely to suffer depression and/or mental illness.
This august body has recently had the effrontery to claim that Christians are responsible for so-called hate-crime attacks on homosexuals. Apparently this was accomplished in the form of a rather nauseating advert.
I have caught the Independent recently [one step below catching flu, I now believe]. I had not realised that this rag is now as bad as the Guardian. I have reviewed Letters Pages and have been astonished by the pure arrogance of the we-know-what-is-best-for-you brigade who receive absurd amounts of space. Add these to the aggressive atheists who rather typically infected the pages last Saturday and I can say that it will be a long time before I subsidise that organ of the liberal elite again!
Where do they find all these appalling Chief Constables? Virtually every single one is a raving, out-of-touch idiot who exudes political correctness out of every pore and has not got the slightest inkling what police work is about - although to be fair - they do probably display expertise on 'gender in the workplace'.
I am normally an admirer of the genial and thoughtful John Humphrys but his recent explanation of why he is (now) an atheist does him few favours intellectually.

Yesterday I had the dubious pleasure of having my day disturbed by two well-dressed young men with american accents arriving on my front doorstep. Mormon missionaries. I have already dealt with how to recognise a cult on this Blog - [see posting from the 10/7/06] and they fulfil the criteria.
I think it was in 1988 when, as Head of Careers in a large comprehensive, I gave a young lady called Helen some assistance to get a job in the Midland Bank. She had 5 'O' Level passes.
Prince Charles just does not get it, does he? He is supposed to become Head of the Church of England and as that illustrious body attempts suicide through political correctness, instead of standing up for God and tradition, he confirms that he will insist on a multi-faith coronation.
Did you catch the BBC series 'Spooks'? I most assuredly did not as it was clearly drivel designed for people with absolutely nothing better to do and probably with an advanced death wish. Seriously sad! I don't think I managed to get through the very first episode.
In 1999, a pupil of mine who had studied and failed the two GCSE subjects I taught him also managed to fail every other subject.
Big news from the world of science. Professor Claus Rolfs of the Ruhr University, has shown that one of the great 'beliefs' of physics is demonstrably false. It may sound boring to state that his research shows that external factors have a major effect on radioactive decay and to the average reader, I am sure that the response will be a resounding "So what?"
The BBC 1 programme 'Inside Out' overplayed its hand on Monday last when it did a feature on UKIP MEP Godfrey Bloom. Desperate for ex-boxer Jonny Nelson to show him up as some sort of throwback to a bygone age, all the programme did was to show a man who has strong, well-based opinions and who is not afraid to be seen as a tad eccentric. Many will have adored him.

This week the Pope has stood up for marriage. He has attacked homosexuality as 'deviancy' and has told Italian Catholics to 'defend marriage' and shun 'other forms of union'.
Members of the BBC have finally 'come clean' and admitted to the leftwing, anti-Christian bias which we have all seen and the BBC Bias website has logged.
A tribunal has just ruled that two women Police officers who are being granted the special privilege of not working nights for family reasons - [I do not suppose this could possibly mean that their male colleagues must work extra nights to cover for them] - must be paid night shift bonuses for the nights they do not work!

After the rigours of enduring a farcical Ofsted inspection at our school, my good lady and I are fleeing to Iberia for a few days.
I wonder how many people there are out there who would disagree with this simple assessment of our sorry, undemocratic political state? Peter Hitchens fires many arrows. Very few fail to find the bull.
I make no apology for the apparently disproportionate amounts of time spent exposing the anti-Christianity stance of so many senior figures in the Church of England. They really are incapable of standing up for the Word of God in a modern society.
When a nation's punishments bear no resemblance whatsoever to the Lex Talionis, not only are they an offence to most of the people, they are also an offence to God. It is not for our so-called do-gooders to effectively 'let people off' unpunished.
Doctor Jonathan Sarfati is a New Zealander and one of those people with an extraordinary intelligence of whom very few are thrown up in any generation. He is also New Zealand's top chess player and is well known internationally. He is a chemist/physicist and a major embarrasssment to the evolutionary establishment as he refuses to join their ranks. Jonathan - a convinced creationist - has written countless articles which have utterly destroyed the evolutionary hypothesis.
The LCJ Lord Philips is one more establishment figure to pursue the idea that "too many people are being jailed".
UKIP has always been starved of publicity. Nigel Farage has impressed many on Question Time. Now that he leads UKIP, he is perhaps the reason why press coverage of last weekend's conference was greater than usual.
So the C of E has allowed a document to be 'leaked' condemning 'multifaith' on the grounds that it has been more divisive rather than less. It is generally perceived that preferential treatment - especially from politicians of the left [my point] - has been afforded to the 3% of the nation who are Muslim. Certainly, they have received different treatment to the Sikhs, Hindus, Jews and members of Chinese religions. It almost implies a kind of superiority. This Blog frequently points out those instances where Muslims are 'judged by a different standard ' to the majority in the UK and certainly to Christians. Clearly, this is worse in the inner cities where the left think that they can pick up cheap votes. Once again I shall point out the inconsistencies of a great many on the left who are pro political correctness and pro Islam. Without wishing the image to be seen as offensive, it is like giving active support for both marxism and fascism at the same time.
The implementation of the Sexual Orientation (Provision of Goods & Services) regulations has been delayed by Ruth Kelly after countless complaints by Christian groups. Once again, our politically correct government has misread how people will respond to the forcing through of their pet projects.
So much written on this site criticises our noble Chancellor of the Exchequer that it seems almost cruel to stick the boot in yet again - but the man is an old style socialist and so we must expect disaster over the financial areas which he runs.
Surely the time has now arrived. The Church of England is so infected with political correctness, leftwing liberalism and plain stupidity that it needs to be put down. If it were an animal enduring that much misery - you would quietly and lovingly wish it farewell and then you would pop it round to the vets for him/her to administer the final injection. It would be considered 'the kindest thing to do'.
Somebody recently quoted these words of George Orwell in 1984 as part of a larger piece : "The Party seeks power entirely for its own sake. We are not interested in the good of others; we are interested solely in power. Not wealth or luxury or long life or happiness: only power, pure power. ...We are different from the oligarchies of the past, in that we know what we are doing. All the others, even those who resembled ourselves, were cowards and hypocrites., The German Nazis and Russian Communists came very close to us in our methods, but they never had the courage to recognise their own motives. They pretended, perhaps they even believed, that they had seized power unwillingly and for a limited time, and that just around the corner there lay a paradise where human beings would be free and equal. We are not like that. We know that no one ever seizes power with the intention of relinquishing it. Power is not a means, it is an end. One does not establish a dictatorship in order to safeguard a revolution; one makes the revolution in order to establish the dictatorship."https://www.christianpost.com/news/christian-documentarian-banned-from-filming-at-historic-site.html
