The Ark of the Covenant.

Christianity is not a religion based on relics. This is an absolute.
There is no 'crown of thorns' to be discovered [Louis ix of France, please note!] Thorns rot. There is no 'piece of the true cross' to venerate. Wood rots.
There are no crucifixion nails from Calvary. Metal was expensive and Romans did not belong to the 'throw-away' society - they reused them!
The disciples did not return to the upper room and steal the cup when they realised how important that evening had been.
The bones of so-called saints do NOT heal or grant miracles - if they appear to do so, then the source is probably diabolical.
The Ark of the Covenant was largely made of acacia wood - which rots, incidentally.
I am getting totally fed up with a search for relics and outward things. Read Mark 7 and see what Christ had to say about the 'inside' and 'outside' of man.
Can we please quit all the hocus pocus about this rubbish and return to more spiritual matters?
