Pat O' Flynn.

Patrick O' Flynn makes an excellent point in today's Express. With regard to that failed political system called socialism, he asks:

" Now, I may have got this wrong, but wasn't socialism supposed to be about laying aside individual greed and working for the common good? "

He strengthens his point with a far from untypical example:

" Alastair Campbell, Cherie Blair, Lord Levy, John Prescott, Geoffrey Robinson; all rushed out books containing embarrassing details about the Government. They have all made hundreds of thousands of pounds for themselves as a result."

QUITE!

The basic problem of socialism remains. It is predicated on the false doctrine of 'the basic goodness of man'. You do not need to be a Christian - only a realist - to see how wrong that is.
It is doomed to fail. Capitalism may have many weaknesses but the leftist idea of pretending that capitalism is based on greed and socialism is not, is simply laughable.
