Peter Hitchens - spot on, as ever!

"Feral schools that reward the F-word...the left's war is nearly won.
Just imagine this. You are a bright 12-year-old who wants to learn. But your school is a seething chaos, where bullies and thieves rule the corridors. You have to keep quiet about the fact that you are good at your work. If the louts find out, you will be taunted and your books will be ripped up and dumped on the floor, or have insults scrawled on them.
Exceptional intelligence is actively hated and mistrusted, as it would once have been in a stone-age tribe.
Each day you turn up in the hope of getting the qualifications and knowledge you need to get out of this pit of despair. But your teachers change with baffling speed, know little of the subjects they teach and often don’t arrive at all.
When they do, they often cannot control a class where ferals of both sexes sit splay-legged, with their feet on the desks, texting filth to each other, swearing and sniggering.

The destruction of authority and the desire to learn is having a devastating effect on teenagers in the school system

For a startling number of people, this is what the word ‘school’ now means. If you think anyone is going to do anything about it, forget it. The people who run our state education system are on the side of the bad.
You doubt it? Then take note of Mr Peter Buckroyd, a chief examiner with the biggest exam board in England. He thinks marks should be given to a GCSE English candidate who writes ‘**** off’ on his paper.

I suspect Mr Buckroyd thinks this is a bit of a giggle. By the way, he also claims to believe that exam standards are rising. What about the Government’s alleged exam regulator, Ofqual? Its response to this revelation is utter complacency.
You shouldn’t – by now – be shocked by this. It is intentional.
The destruction of adult authority, knowledge, morality and order has been the aim of the radical Left for ages, and after four decades of burrowing into our establishment these Marxoid maggots are close to final success."
