Raul Castro.


Cuba has abandoned its marxist policy of 'salary equality'.
The reason is of course, that there are few systems which could be seen as more unfair than this one.
[ Naturally, the policy did not apply to the party apparatchiks.]
The word 'disincentivise' was created for just such situations. Who would ever work harder than their colleague if that person were an idler earning the same salary?
What, no distinction between the value of the work done? Nor of the amount? Nor distinctions between the responsible and the sheep?
How could anybody have ever believed that this poverty-causing claptrap could have any positive, social value?
