Amoral society?

I suspect that in many cases in the 21st century, psychopaths and sociopaths are produced via nature rather than nurture but in many more cases, the reverse is true.I understand that this is a contentious and somewhat strange sentiment to have to express.
It is not too difficult to find lists of the characteristics of these overlapping and deeply worrying conditions.
My second controversial opinion on the matter pertains to amoral behaviour, which my life experience suggests is strongly linked to these two states.
All I can say is that amoral conduct has increased beyond all recognition in my lifetime which strongly suggests that it is upbringing and selfishness rather than genetics which are the main base.
One proof that is easily spotted by those of middle age and older is the upsurge in telling 'porkies'. In the current generation of schoolchildren it is now endemic; indeed it is the norm.
Lying quickly, automatically and without conscience is a ready test; self absorption is another. Lack of empathy; coldness; plausible deceits and such people are quite often oozing with charm. They are manipulative and utterly self-seeking.
My point is that these characteristics are increasingly frequently, acquired and demonstrate
a spiritual vacuum. Ironically, these features may often be beneficial in certain areas and are seen in high flying careers people, generals, politicians and yes, even in brash preachers.
Psychiatrists would flock to denounce my claim which is that a considerable amount of such behavious is sin-based. A society which has rejected absolutes is preparing a fertile soil in which these most poisonous seeds can grow and flourish.
Certainly, my interpretation is unfashionable.
