In the name of all sanity, which fool thought up the idea of the controversial Black Pupils Achievement Programme, which the Government is piloting in a lame effort to reduce persistent under-achieving among black children?Was it the same buffoon who came up with that winner, Government-funded school trips which exclude white students?
Perhaps this person is the same one who thinks that having a Black Police Association is a good thing?
I want black pupils to do as well as anybody else but schemes like these simply pour paraffin onto the flames of resentment which are already rife throughout the population. You almost wonder if such schemes are designed to promote disunity.
Sorry but black pupils must do it the same way as Chinese pupils and many Asians do - BY THEIR OWN EFFORTS.
Discrimination to avoid discrimination is NOT joined-up thinking!
The last time I saw a table, white boys were now pretty close to the bottom of racial listings of educational achievements. When they get to the very base, do you suppose groups for specifically white children will be set up? - Of course not. White Police Association? - Sorry. I don't see that one coming either.
Why the double standards?
Remember the BBC, where every minority is now over-represented but they still have an Equal Opportunities Unit, which is not trying to redress what is now a different wrong balance!
