Charles Clarke.

Former Home Secretary Charles Clarke claimed MPs were "appalled" by the Prime Minister's language about "British jobs for British workers".

It is appalling isn't it? Let me see. Which Labour epithet of scorn and derision should be lent to such a plan? - Elitist? Racist? UKist? - What a disgrace to suggest that British politicians should be on the side of the British people! Utterly shameful!

But seriously, Charlie-boy, you didn't actually believe him did you?
